These texts were published in the magazine Odyssey during the years 1993-1995. They were written originally in English. The writer, who has written more than five books dealing with Greek society and culture, tried to condense some of his opinions in a more casual form. The reader will find echoes of current events (e.g. the “Macedonian” problem) but most of the ideas expressed about Greek identity and self-awareness are still very actual.
